The
Mariupol building was initially constructed by German
POWs after World War II and has had a number of uses
including a telephone switch station and gravestone
business. Six Work & Witness teams worked on the
building in 2002, and three in 2003.
Completion
is planned for 2004. Mariupol is a city of 600,000 located
on the Sea of Azov in southeast Ukraine, and is 12 hours
by car or 18 hours by train from Kyiv. Pastor Sergei
Alekseev and his wife Tatyana lead the Mariupol Church
of the Nazarene.
